The graphic and digital design program offers bachelor courses (bac+3) and master courses (bac+5) that lead to careers in graphic and digital design, whether in an agency or freelance.
The courses objective is to train a new generation of curious designers, thinking about innovative concepts and providing flexible and original solutions in a world where communication media evolve very rapidly.
The omnipresence of communication in today’s world is indisputable and, especially thanks to digitization, it continues to grow. In graphic and digital design, visual content mediation and communication skills are developed. This includes knowledge (theory) and practice of the media in an understanding of the processes of content creation (concept) and mediation. In graphic and digital design, we accompany the emergence of this new generation of curious designers who know how to think, design and bring flexible and precise solutions in a world where communication options and solutions are constantly evolving. By occupying an increasingly important place in the Moroccan economy and culture, these are professions where gender parity and employability are currently expanding.
The graphic and digital design courses of ESAV Marrakech are based in teaching on a mix of artistic and graphic cultures. The training focuses on experimentation and creativity, adapting it to the professional world. It is a pedagogy that trains much more than graduates: it prepares young professionals. As of the second year, the students are confronted with the labour market during internship periods. This is an essential opportunity to consolidate knowledge, expand networks and perfect know-how.
The 4th and 5th years offer a new and unique training in Morocco. In the first year of the master’s degree, the students are in the common core curriculum, which includes seminars and theoretical and practical workshops. Students must absolve a minimum 12-week internship and international exchanges between schools are also possible. At the end of the year it is necessary to carry out a participative or personal project. In the second year of a Master’s degree, students follow theoretical and practical seminars and workshops while specializing in one or two fields. Finally, the student is led to carry out his thesis project. This consists in writing a thesis and developing a personal project linked to a research theme which, depending on its nature, can lead to very different results, ranging from pure experimentation to the achievement of defined objectives. It is a question of evaluating both the process and the results and granting the greatest possible freedom in the conduct of the project. The students are followed by a tutor and they work independently.
